"This weekend, I slowly began to gain confidence again. Currently the race, I had the speed to compete with the leading riders. Maybe not the whole race, but we had a good pace," Stoner said as quoted by WA Today.
"The accident made me more cautious, especially to re-appear in Japan. I do not want to fall again. Whatever happens with my feet, so we had to come back from scratch again," continued the 2007 MotoGP world champion and 2011's.
Accident in Indianapolis makes Stoner had to bury chances defend the world title this season. Practical living Yamaha, Jorge Lorenzo, and Pedrosa are competing in three races remaining.
Stoner decided to retire from MotoGP at the end of this season. Rider 26 years has not revealed his future plans after leaving MotoGP.
